The wool...
This year I wanted to knit my first ever sweater. Of course it had to be a vintage sweater. The search was on! I found a great pattern for free on www.freevintageknitting.com! All I had to do was translate it from English to Dutch. My knitting English has just improved a bunch. And the wool...was free too! My mum had it around for a while now. Baby pink!
Shoes!
I wasn't planning on buying anything today. And then I saw a pair of cute red boots and they were on sale! I have been looking for red boots for ages. And then they said if I bought another pair that were on sale, they would be half off. I wasn't sure I should be spending even more, but I found another great pair! Both pairs are adjustable!!! Looooove it! Here are some pictures ;)

How did it all start?
I must admit, I've not been an vintage addict forever. I always liked the music of the fifties, that's true. My dress style was always described as "special". However, three years ago I found a lovely dress. It was my first encounter with Bettie Page. And the rest, as they say, is history...
Work around it...
I already said I'm a novice at blogging. With the added fun that I'm trying to do this on an Ipad! Let's just say i've been yelling at it for a while now ;) But as the title suggests I worked around it. I'm using the Iphone app now, but I better buy the real Ipad app...
First one!
So...
This is my first blog post! If this ain't exciting!!
I need to learn a lot about this, but it will be alright.
It's a year of firsts...more about that soon.
